Leadership:

Louise Hughes - P&G
Bobby Maly - The Model Group
Allen Zaring IV - ZAR Global Asset Management

Overview:

Effective governance will depend on alignment from the hundreds of municipalities and government entities in Southwest Ohio. This alignment on shared priority areas will result in improved service, lower costs, and improved economic competitiveness. Our region can only grow sustainably when all parts are healthy and working together, which will help Cincinnati USA to compete in the global marketplace. The team will identify and support effective methods which align the region's governmental bodies.

Focus Areas/Projects:
  • Regional Consensus Committee- The Regional Consensus Committee will define regional priorities that will enhance our economic competitiveness, focus on pressing regional issues most difficult to solve by local jurisdictions or county legislative delegations acting alone, and unite Southwest Ohio Delegation (State House and Senate) and regional stakeholders around a common agenda.

  • Shared Services- The committee identified Regional Transportation as the most important regional service that can be dramatically improved in Southwest Ohio. The committee plans to look at ways it can give added weight to the current City of Cincinnati-Hamilton County shared services initiative.

  • Leadership 360 for Government Officials- Leadership 360 is an annual leadership program for elected and appointed officials in the Tri-State area. In this program, officials will go over ways to improve communication and understanding on Agenda 360, develop and strengthen personal relationships among elected and appointed leaders, and encourage efficiency and effective governance in Southwest Ohio.
